# AppTesters Device Registration

> Device, UDID, and supported-device information for AppTesters certificate plans.

## Overview

AppTesters certificate orders require a device identifier such as a UDID. Public purchase and FAQ content states that certificate files are tied to one device UDID.

## UDID Requirements

The purchase flow asks users to enter a valid UDID and select a device. The public UDID finder accepts iPhone and iPad users and states that it can find the device UDID in Safari with a temporary configuration profile.

The UDID finder states:

- No Apple ID is required.
- No AppTesters account is required.
- It requests only the UDID.
- It does not request the serial number, IMEI, MEID, phone number, Apple ID, or account details.
- The UDID is encrypted briefly for the result page and is not saved.

## Supported Devices by Plan

Essential supports iPhone.

Premium and Ultimate support iPhone, M-Series Mac, iPad, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro.

## Device Changes

Certificate files are tied to one device UDID and are not automatically transferable to arbitrary devices.

Current public plan rules:

- Essential: device changes are not included.
- Premium: device changes are available for a $10 fee.
- Ultimate: up to 2 free device changes total within 5 years.

Users should contact support before submitting a replacement device UDID.

## Apple Eligibility

If a device is marked ineligible, AppTesters public FAQ says Apple currently prevents the submitted UDID from being registered in the required developer-account process. Users should follow the eligibility date or information shown in their order.
