The steps below show how to install the configuration, generate a certificate, trust it, and start using unlocked features.

Install & allow VPN
- Install Egern from the App Store.
- Open Egern → tap Start, then tap Allow to add the VPN configuration.
- Enter your passcode and wait for the VPN to connect.

Download configuration
- Open Egern → Settings → Profiles → Add → Download.
- Enter URL:
https://apptesters.org/egern.yaml - Click Use Profile if asked.
- Swipe left on Profile and click 3 dots and rename to AppTesters.yaml.
- Click on your AppTesters.yaml and make sure it's ticked.

Generate, install & trust the certificate
- Egern → Tools → MITM → 3 dots on top → Generate New CA Certificate.
- Tap Install CA Certificate (you’ll switch to Safari to download the profile).
- iOS → Settings → VPN & Device Management → Install profile.
- iOS → Settings → General → About → Certificate Trust Settings → enable Egern CA.

Check unlocked apps
With the configuration active and certificate trusted, open supported apps and try premium features. If the app has a “Restore Purchases” button, use it once after connecting Egern.
